The Vaucluse-Highland is the heart of the Provence and Avignon is the capital city. Avignon emerged to the cultural capital because of the famous theater events, the former important "Popes palace" and the subject of the well known song about the "Pont d'Avignon". |

Further distant are the sunny Allpilles and the Lubéron. The beauties of the Provence, Saint Rémy de Provence and Vaison la Romaine can be reached on the road passing the small village "L'île sur la Sorgue" with antique dealers in the centre-village. |
