The republic of Paraguay is actually the immigration country of choice in south America for many Europeans!
Very attractive living conditions and cost, no tax(!), pleasant subtropical climate (like Florida), Tax paradise (10% VAT) and affordable real estate, officially registered land / real estate property like in Europe (land register) -applicable for non residents, too- and easy non bureaucratic immigration process' make this country in south America to the actually most attractive place for immigrants. Paraguay is a landlocked country in south America and has ~10 fold the surface of Switzerland but ~ 1/4 less number of residents (~14 people/ km2). You should know about this few facts if you consider to acquire real estate in Paraguay:
- In case you intend to visit real estate, prepare the buying contract, initialize the immigrations procedure and the opening of a banking account, then you should plan a stay of at least 10 days.
- The fee for a residency permission is ~1'000 € per person. Public fees must always be paid in cash.
- To open a banking account (= deposit account), you are requested to pay 5'000 US$ (or it's value in €) instantly in cash per Person or per couple.
- Hotel accommodation on the lake shore or bungalow rental from our local agent is available for our customers/prospects!
- Accommodation fee per double room incl. breakfast is only ~ 32 € / night.
- Commuting service is available from/ to the airport Asunciõn for only 100 € (one way) in case you have booked our recommended accommodation. This fee will be reimbursed in case you've bought real-estate from our agency.
- If you prefer to stay elsewhere, the meeting point for your visit must bee in our agent office in all cases; no commuting service is available from us in this case!
- In case you decide to buy real estate, usually a first down payment of 10% of the contract value or a minimal charge of 5'000 € gets due upon the contract signature in the notary's office. The remaining value is due for payment within 4 weeks after contract signature.
- You need to add a broker fee of 5% to all published prices for real estate in Paraguay published on this website. This fee is due upon contract signature and to be settled with our local agent.
